Overview
The procedures for a user to follow once advised by the Schenectady IT department. The IT technician will search Banner and add an alternate phone or email depending on what exists in your official account.
Note: This process only works if the SCCC IT department has properly configured your account.

Issue
Go to SUNY SCCC's sharepoint: https://livesunysccc.sharepoint.com/sites/MYSCCC
Click on “Can’t access your account?”

Click “Work or School Account".

Enter your full SCCC email address.
Enter the Captcha code that shows.
Click “Next”.

Select the alternate email option
Note: you will see part of your personal email as it is currently entered in the official college record.

Check your email.

Enter the code provided.
Click “Next"

Enter a new password.
Note: Password requirements are listed in the "Additional Information" section below.
Click “Finish”

Return to the login screen and use your new password.

Password Requirements
The following parameters indicate the minimum requirements for passwords for all individual accounts where passwords are:
- At least fourteen (14) characters;
- Passwords must not be reused for at least ten (10) generations.
- At least four (4) characters must be changed when new passwords are created.
- Not based on anything somebody else could easily guess or obtain using person related information (e.g., names, telephone numbers, dates of birth, etc.);
- A combination of at least one character from each of the following four listed character types (older passwords require at least one character from three of the following four types):
- English uppercase letters (A-Z),
- English lowercase letters (a-z)
- Base 10 digits (0-9)
- Non-alphanumeric (such as ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = { } | \ : " ; ' < > ? , . / and space)
