  5. Click Word to create a new document.
  6. Type your study guide or other course materials as you normally would.

This same process can be used for any other Microsoft applications, like Excel or PowerPoint.

How Documents Are Saved

  • Office for the web automatically saves your work as you type.
  • Documents are stored in OneDrive, Microsoft's cloud storage service.
  • You do not need to click Save repeatedly; changes are saved automatically.

Finding Your Documents Later

  1. Return to office.com and sign in.
  2. Click OneDrive>My Files.
  3. The files you have created and editing through the Microsoft Office web client will appear in the list.
  4. Click any file to reopen and continue editing.

NOTE: If files are stored locally on your computer, they will not appear on the web unless you upload them into OneDrive.
